Hello to a New Year and a New MoSRT,
I wanted to take a minute and let you know that the MoSRT is currently accepting applications for all the student scholarships, essays, and scientific displays. These are listed on our website at mosrt.org under the competitions tab. Please note that some of the deadlines are quickly approaching.
The MoSRT will be meeting this Saturday, January 16, 2021 to make decisions regarding our annual conference this year in April. As soon as a decision is made, we will make it available on our website. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Radiologic Technologists in Jefferson City (R.T. in JC) - 2021 - Tentatively Cancelled
Hello my fellow advocates,
I wanted to inform you that our annual advocacy event for February 2021, RT in JC, has been cancelled for now. I received a call today from the House scheduler informing me that all events at the Capitol hearing rooms (HR) have been cancelled until further notice.
I will keep the group informed of any changes and when or if we can still have an event at the Capital but maybe at a later date. We will still proceed with plans for our next bill; I will let you know when a 'call to action' is needed so you know when you are to contact your legislators asking for their support.

Urgent: Call to action! Support H.R. 8702
Hello MoSRT followers,
The ASRT has sent out an urgent call to action to tell your federal leaders how important it is that they Enact H.R. 8702. This bill will more or less put a two-year freeze on the cuts to Medicare that were supposed to go into effect in 2021. If this bill is not passed, medical imaging payments for Medicare patients will decrease by 11% which could result in imaging departments having to cut staff. Please, it is important that everyone visit the ASRT website (link HERE) and fill out the form with your information. You will then be taken to a page that contains a pre-filled out letter, that will be sent to your U.S. House Representative upon your approval. If you have any questions regarding this or need more information, please do not hesitate to reach out to me and I will see what I can do to help.

The 2021-2022 Board of Directors Election is underway! If you are a Technologist member, please visit our site and vote by clicking HERE!
If you log in using your Member Planet user ID and password, your vote will be logged automatically. You can do this by clicking the login button in the upper right-hand corner. Otherwise, you will simply need to enter in your member ID which can be found on your membership card which was sent to you upon enrollment.
Any votes received without an associated membership ID may be flagged for dismissal. Also, any votes using Student IDs will be dismissed as well.
